Renal Pathology Crash Course for Nephrologists

In addition to the 4-day European Renal Pathology Course we now organize a concise 2-day renal pathology Crash course, specially designed for nephrologists and nephrology residents.

This concise course will again take place in Amsterdam in the autumn of 2019.
Details will follow in due course.

The course is dedicated to native renal diseases, with special attention to renal histopathology. Pathology presentations will be alternated with a fully digitalized slide seminar - all participants will have a laptop computer at their disposal to study biopsies with virtual microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy in an integrated fashion.

Throughout the course, the emphasis lies on the recognition of histological patterns of glomerular diseases and tubulo-interstitial injury. Characteristic cases as well as more complex and rare cases will be covered.

After completion of the course, the attendants will be able to recognize the histopathological characteristics of both frequently occurring and rare renal diseases, and generate an appropriate differential diagnosis. Moreover, participants will benefit of free access to the self-comprehensive e-learning platform to improve their skills in renal pathology.

Accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and the Nederlandse Internisten Vereniging (NIV) will be applied for.

We hope you will join us in Amsterdam next autumn!
